Fri 25 April

Pavilion Theatre, Chapel Road, Worthing BN11 1HP

While parenting teenagers, bogged down with knicker admin and considering dealing HRT on the black market, Kerry 's lost her mum bag but can’t remember what was in it as she’s outsourced her memory to her phone. The life of a middle aged woman who  hasn't got the bandwidth  for any of this.

Be spellbound by The Magic Of Terry Pratchett

Sat 26 April

Cranleigh Arts Centre, 1 High Street, Cranleigh, GU6 8AS

Author, comedian and Terry Pratchett fan, Marc Burrows invites audiences to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the landmark comic fantasy Discworld series with this beautiful tribute.

In 2020, Burrows penned the first ever biography of Pratchett . The book received critical acclaim, won a Locus Award and was embraced by fans. This live multimedia show, based on the book, was then created with the full endorsement and support of Narrativia, the company founded to protect and promote the late author’s work in association with his estate. Over the past 12 months, it has sold over 10,000 tickets across the UK.

The Magic of Terry Pratchett is a comic lecture in which Burrows explores Pratchett's influences, his rise to fame, impact, and unique life, becoming one of the most beloved storytellers of all time. From the national treasure’s days as a school librarian, to his time as a trainee journalist, to his untimely death in 2015 and in keeping with Pratchett’s own style, the show is a gently comic celebration and exploration of his work. It also seriously examines his death, and the activism he was involved with toward the end of his life surrounding dementia treatment and the right- to-die; an important part of his story and legacy.

Sir Terry Pratchett OBE is one of the world’s most widely read authors. His works have been translated into 40 different languages, sold 100 million copies and have been performed on stage on seven continents.

Pale Blue Eyes by Aubrey Simpson

Rock out with Pale Blue Eyes

Fri 11 April

Dust, 77 East St, Brighton BN1 1NF

Following the release of their third studio album, New Place,  Pale Blue Eyes are out on a UK tour.  The album was described as a re-invention of the “21st-century pop landscape” by Now Then and “polished yet never losing the DIY feel” by Indie Is Not A Genre. Now, the band are planning to take it out on the road. Born of a cross-pollination between Totnes and Sheffield, Pale Blue Eyes have been steadily grafting over a number of years to exact their modernist pop vision.

At the ship’s helm, Matt and Lucy Board are a genuine marriage of two stylistic perspectives, each bringing unique sonic tropes to the table. It is the pair’s fasination with DIY ethic, retro synths and reminiscence that truly fuels their sound world, calling upon nostalgia and a captivating optimism. The third part of the Pale Blue Eyes triad arrived when Matt and Lucy met bassist Aubrey Simpson at South Devon’s Sea Change festival.

They’ve received playlisting on BBC Radio 6 Music, played two Riley sessions, toured extensively in the UK and Europe, supported GOAT, Slowdive, Sea Power, The Editors, Public Service Broadcasting, FEWS and more. And earlier this month, they released their third record on their own imprint, Broadcast Recordings. As with the first two albums, ’New Place’ was produced by the band and final mixed and mastered by Dean Honer.
